Braided is the most distinctive of DAVSU's three silhouettes. Long plaited ropes of jute, sewn by hand in a tight spiral, best seen from above. The construction is most natural in rounds and ovals. Squares are possible. Rectangles are not.

Raw is the undyed golden state of the jute fibre, sorted by hand from the raw supply. Tone varies slightly between lots.
Vacuum without a beater bar. Spot clean with a dry cloth. Rotate seasonally to even wear.
